Terms of Service

These terms cover the helperly.org website and the Helperly apps. Plain language, no surprises. Last updated June 14, 2026.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Helperly LLC ("Helperly", "we", "us"). By using our website or apps (together, the "Services"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

1. Who we are

The Services are provided by Helperly LLC. You can reach us through our contact form.

2. Not medical advice

Our apps are personal logging and organizational tools. They are not medical devices, do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and are not a substitute for professional care. Always follow your clinician's guidance and your own written care plan, and in an emergency contact your local emergency services. You are responsible for decisions you make using the Services.

3. Your content stays yours

The apps are local-first: your entries are stored on your device, and you own them. We don't sell your personal information. See our Privacy page (and each app's own privacy information) for details on what is and isn't collected.

4. Free version, ads, and subscriptions

Core logging is free to use. The free version is ad-supported through Google AdMob, which applies its own ad technology. An optional paid upgrade removes ads and unlocks additional features.

Paid plans may be offered as auto-renewing subscriptions billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Prices are shown before you purchase and may vary by region; the stores handle billing, refunds, and renewals under their own terms.

5. License & acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. You agree not to misuse the Services — including no reverse engineering beyond what the law allows, no attempts to break security or access others' data, no unlawful use, and no interfering with the Services' operation.

6. Intellectual property

The Services, including the Helperly name, logo, and software, are owned by Helperly LLC and protected by law. These Terms don't transfer any of our intellectual property to you beyond the limited license above.

7. Third-party services

The Services rely on third parties such as the Apple App Store, Google Play, Google AdMob, and our hosting and email providers. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms and privacy policies, which we don't control.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that insights or summaries are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Helperly LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Services. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms; we'll change the date above and, for significant changes, provide reasonable notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them. You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
